When I went camping over the winter, I totally prepared myself for the worst. I knew everyone would be cool with it, except me. I knew they wouldn't have as much stuff as me..as much requirements as me...as much fussiness as me. I just told myself I needed to challenge myself. And I did. But I was wrong about everything I expected. In fact, I was one of the few people on my trip who camped all the nights we intended too. Even though there are so many elements that are not the norm, there's something magical about sleeping out amongst nature- with just a thin piece of material shielding you from any potential danger. I camped the night through the serious issues of wild boars running free in Texas and I camped in small town New Mexico- not sure if I would make it out alive due to the furious winds. And I don't regret it in the slightest! If I can do it, so can you! But I understand it's easier said than done.
